The investigation Dennis Kaufman pursued was very real. It wasn’t taken lightly by the FBI who investigated many aspects of Jack W. Tarrance, Jr. at Kaufman’s request for more than 13 years. If this was a solved case, the man hours would not have been given, and the evidence submitted, like the hood, would have been returned. I suspect that any LE agency was on a treasure hunt to collect as much of his evidence as possible while other agencies turned a blind eye, why?!?
